How much does fintech app development cost in India?
Indicatively ₹6–15 lakh for a payment or digital wallet app, ₹8–20 lakh for a lending platform with origination, e-mandates and loan management, ₹10–25 lakh for a neobank, investment or insurance app on partner APIs, from ₹25 lakh for enterprise or white-label platforms, and ₹3–8 lakh to add wallets, KYC or payouts to an existing app. SpikeSecure confirms every figure in a fixed-scope written quote.
How long does it take to build a fintech app?
A payment or wallet app takes 10–16 weeks, a lending platform 12–20 weeks, a neobank or investment app 14–24 weeks and an enterprise platform 24–40 weeks in phases. Partner sandbox integrations start in week two so certification does not sit on the critical path.
Do we need our own licence to launch a payments or lending product?
Usually you operate under a licensed partner: a sponsor bank or PSP for UPI, a licensed gateway for cards, an RBI-registered NBFC or bank for lending, a SEBI-registered broker or RIA for investing, and an insurer for insurance. We build the product and the partner integrations; the licences, registrations and partner agreements are yours, and we scope the regulatory requirements with your counsel.
How do you handle RBI and DPDP compliance?
We build to the RBI Digital Lending Guidelines, KYC Master Direction, PPI Master Directions, card tokenisation rules and the Account Aggregator framework where they apply, and to the DPDP Act 2023 for consent, purpose limitation and data-principal rights. Consent records, key fact statements, grievance flows and audit logs are part of the scope, not an add-on.
Is card data stored in our system?
No. Cards are tokenised and stored by the licensed gateway, which keeps your PCI DSS scope minimal. We store only tokens, masked numbers and the audit trail.
Can you integrate UPI, e-NACH, credit bureaus and account aggregators?
Yes. UPI through your PSP or sponsor bank, e-NACH and e-sign through licensed providers, bureau pulls for credit checks, account-aggregator consent flows for bank-statement analysis, and core banking or lending APIs where your partner exposes them. Each integration is listed item by item in the quote.
How do you keep the ledger correct?
A double-entry ledger with an immutable journal, idempotent transaction APIs, per-transaction audit logs and daily reconciliation against gateway and bank reports, the same pattern that runs the wallet in our own product, Local Friends.
Have you built fintech products before?
Our own product Local Friends runs a prepaid wallet, KYC-gated earnings and RazorpayX payouts in production, and WeaveHub runs Razorpay Route split payments with KYC-gated vendor onboarding. We have not yet published a bank, NBFC or wallet client by name, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise.
Can you build an app like Paytm, PhonePe, CRED or Groww?
Functionally, yes: wallets, UPI, bill pay, rewards, lending journeys and investing on partner APIs. We build it for your licence structure and brand, and we tell you early which features depend on partner approvals rather than on code.
Do you build apps in Tamil and other Indian languages?
Yes. Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam, Marathi and Bengali customer apps, with simple layouts and voice-friendly flows for first-time digital borrowers and savers.
Who owns the code and the data?
You do. Source code in your GitHub organisation, cloud, gateway, KYC and messaging accounts in your name, and customer and transaction data in your own databases from day one, with a documented handover.
Do you work with fintech companies outside Tamil Nadu and outside India?
Yes. Coimbatore, Chennai and Tiruppur in person; Bengaluru, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Pune, Delhi NCR and the rest of India remotely with an on-site kick-off on request; and fintech startups in the US, UK, UAE, GCC, Singapore and Australia remotely, with Stripe, Adyen or regional gateways, hosting in your region and invoicing in your currency.
Why is your fintech pricing lower than many agencies?
A ledger, KYC, payout and reconciliation stack already in production, one Flutter codebase for both stores, an open-source backend, a Coimbatore cost base and fixed-scope quotes. Compliance screens and audit logging are included in the scope rather than sold as change requests.
How do I get started?
