UK domestic leisure is holiday parks, glamping, lodges with hot tubs, cottages and country-house hotels, booked months ahead for school holidays and at short notice for weekends. Operators want direct bookings beside Booking.com, Airbnb and specialist cottage agencies, with deposits, balance dates and add-ons such as pets and late check-out.
Where and who
We build for UK holiday parks, glamping sites, country hotels, lodges and cottage operators, with properties in Cornwall, the Lake District, the Cotswolds, the Scottish Highlands and Wales. The app is designed around how those stays are actually sold: unit types, seasons, packages and the add-ons guests buy with the room.
Languages
English, with Welsh where you serve Wales.
Payments, taxes and price display
Guests pay through Stripe with cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Prices are shown as a VAT-inclusive total with mandatory fees included from the first screen, which is how we read the drip-pricing provisions of the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024. The fee and tax set-up is confirmed with your accountant before launch.
Compliance
We design for UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 (lawful basis, data-subject rights, records of processing, breach handling), ICO registration where your processing requires it, PECR for cookies and marketing consent, WCAG 2.1 AA for public-sector or accessibility-regulated sites, PCI DSS scope kept inside Stripe or GoCardless, and FCA rules where the product touches regulated payments or lending, at the time of writing (October 2026). Your counsel or DPO signs off; we implement. For resort bookings we also scope with your counsel the Package Travel Regulations where you sell a stay together with transport or other travel services; guest ID documents are stored encrypted with retention rules.
Hosting
AWS eu-west-2 (London), Google Cloud europe-west2 (London), or Vercel with a UK or EU region, in your accounts with your billing; encrypted Postgres, S3 and a CDN in front. Data stays in the UK or EU unless you choose otherwise.
